No market is the same and it is important that you conduct research on the country that you plan to sell in. Without the correct information, you could risk wasting precious time and money. Below are some of the services that could help you with the process.
Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS)
The East of England Department for International Trade team has a network of trade specialists who can also help you find overseas customers by:
- helping you prepare for a trade show or overseas market visit (sometimes grants are available – check with the event organiser)
- arranging introductions to potential overseas buyers, agents and distributors (there’s a charge for this service)
Overseas Delivery Partners (ODP)
Overseas Delivery Partners can help you enter new markets, find customers and offer guidance on international trade. Our team can put you in touch with these networks to provide you with support and insight for your expansion overseas.
We are able to signpost you to a number of local and national organisations that can help you with your export journey, including banks and the Chambers of Commerce as well as sector focused trade associations.
The Department for International Trade regularly host free International Market Research workshops across the region. Check out our events calendar for the full schedule.
