Women in Business: Essential Traveller Safety

8th March 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

How do you prepare to travel abroad on a business trip? As a business woman, there are additional safety issues to take into consideration when travelling overseas to grow your business. Legal and cultural restrictions can sometimes be distracting and being aware of them can impact the success of your trip.

Led by Susannah Poulton, Trade Mission Manager at the Department for International Trade, this half-day training workshop will provide practical and comprehensive advice on how to keep yourself safe when travelling.

This workshop will provide you with confidence when travelling abroad to seek new business and help your organisation to comply with its requirement to provide a duty of care to employees, as stated within the UK Health and Safety Law.

The morning will look at what needs to be considered when planning your trip, medical planning, social media safety and discussions on how to stay safe in hotels and safer local travel. There will be plenty of networking opportunities to ensure that you have the chance to air questions and concerns in a supportive environment.
