East of England tech companies pitch innovations to German corporates

East of England companies pitched their Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to a range of German corporates at a virtual event facilitated by the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Cambridge Wireless (CW).


Introduced by HM Trade Commissioner for Europe Richard Burn CMG, the meeting demonstrated the value that East of England companies can contribute to sectors including healthcare, automotive, engineering, security and business transformation.

This meeting was delivered by Exemplas Trade Services Ltd, in its role as a delivery partner for the Department for International Trade in the East of England.

Tech clients pitching their AI and IoT solutions included: Camnexus Ltd, Intellegens, Iprova, Klickdigital Ltd, RoboK, Cambridge Intelligence Ltd, GeoSpock Ltd, and Data Language from the South East of England.

The corporates taking part included: SAP, Fujitsu, e-Capital, ESG, Knauf, Krauss Maffei, Next 47, NVIDIA, ComputaCentre, btov Partners, G&D, BMW, MTU, Vector Venture Capital, Vodafone.

UK tech companies met with and pitched to a range of corporates via Zoom.

“It is important that the benefits brought by these innovative companies is recognised and applied widely across a range of industry sectors and to the benefit of wider society.

“This joint initiative with the Department for International Trade has enabled companies to pitch their innovations directly to a fantastic range of potential clients, whilst flying the flag for the UK’s technological expertise.”

An important highlight at the event was an item on the ‘TechforGood’ initiative, a campaign to see technology used to tackle major problems for society and the environment.

Germany is one of the largest domestic markets in Europe, and one of the UK’s largest trading partners.

HM Government has established partnerships with German government on key shared challenges such as technology, AI and support for SMEs. These include a Technology Cooperation Dialogue with the Federal Economic Ministry of North Rhine-Westphalia and an economic partnership with the Federal Economic Ministry of Baden-Wuerttemberg.


Exemplas Trade Services Ltd (ETSL) has delivered the contract for the Department for International Trade (formerly UK Trade and Investment) in the East of England for almost a decade.
