Up until the 26 October 2018 the Department for International Trade is running consultations on possible future trade agreements between the UK and:
- The USA
- New Zealand
- Potential accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam).
What can Future Trade Agreements (FTAs) achieve?
- FTAs can generate a range of opportunities for businesses, providing greater market access for existing exporters, increasing the number of companies that export, and providing access to more imported inputs.
- FTAs can benefit consumers by increasing consumer choice, offering consumers lower prices and greater variety of products.
